Tipping Point Competition Terms & Conditions

1. The competition is open to United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 or over only, except employees of RDF Television Limited (the "Promoter"), Two Way Media and ITV/STV/UTV and their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies , their families, agents or any other person(s) connected with the competition, including third party promotional partners.

2. This completion is only open to Facebook users who follow the Tipping Point Blast account (Facebook.com/TippingPointBlast).

3. The competition opens Thursday 26th November 2020 at midday BST (the “Opening Date”) and closes on Friday 4th December 2020 at midday BST (the "Closing Date"). All competition entries must be received no later than midday BST on the Closing Date. All entries received after the Closing Date will not be entered into the competition.

4. One entry per person from one Facebook account only permitted. The competition is free to enter and there will be a maximum of two (2) winners. Each person entering can only win a maximum of one (1) prize.

5. The entries submitted by an entrant must be made by using the Facebook account registered to said entrant. The entries submitted by an entrant using more than one Facebook account registered to said entrant will not be considered.

6. The entrant must not be:

· Currently employed by either the Promoter, Two Way Media or ITV/STV/UTV and must not have been previously employed by the Promoter, Two Way Media or ITV/STV/UTV; and/or

· Sufficiently connected with the programme Tipping Point so that the entrant’s entry could create the appearance of impropriety (unless otherwise approved by the Promoter).

7. To enter the competition you must submit a reaction to the designated competition post published Thursday 26th November 2020 at midday (BST) together with an original Facebook comment, a like of the post, a like of the Tipping Point Blast Facebook account and a share of the competition post. All entries must follow the Tipping Point Blast Facebook account). All entries must be posted on Facebook (using the entrant’s account) between the Opening Date and the Closing Date.

8. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook.

79. The winner will be selected at random by the Promoter.

10. Any entry submitted by an entrant who un-follows Tipping Point Blast’s Facebook account before the Closing Date will not be included in the competition.

11. The winner will be notified on Facebook via a Direct Message within five (5) days after the Closing Date. The winner will be asked to make contact with the Promoter via Facebook Direct Message to provide their contact details within one (1) week of being notified. All reasonable endeavours will be made to contact the winner during the specified time. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not get in touch, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the valid entries that were received before the Closing Date.

12. By entering the competition, each entrant consents to their name or Facebook handle being used publicly on Facebook for the purposes of announcing them as the winner. Winners will not be contacted privately prior to this announcement. The winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity relating to this Competition.

13. The prize for each winning entrant is a £25 Amazon.co.uk gift card, it is only redeemable in the U.K. storefront

14. By entering the competition, each entrant warrants that the comment and any material submitted by them is original to them and does not encroach on or infringe upon the intellectual property of another Facebook user or a third party.

15. By entering, all eligible entrants agree to abide by each and all of these terms and conditions. Misrepresentative or fraudulent entries will invalidate an entry.

16. Any entries which include or make reference to graphic violence and/ or adult content will not be considered. All entrants that engage in abusive exchanges with other Facebook users using their comments will be disqualified from the competition and their entry will not be considered.

17. The Promoter reserves the right, with or without cause, to exclude entrants and withhold prizes for violating any of these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Any amendments will be published on Tipping Point Blast’s Facebook Page (Facebook.com/TippingPointBlast).

18. The Promoter reserves the right to publish entries (including parts of entries) other than the winning entry and publication does not necessarily mean the entrant has won a prize.

19. All entrants license to the Promoter a worldwide royalty-free perpetual licence to edit, publish and use each entry in any and all media (including print and online) for publicity, promotional and news purposes.

20. There is no cash or other alternative to the prize stated and the prize is not transferable, and no part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions.

21. The Winner may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their prize.

The Promoter will not be liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections that may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant’s ability to participate in the competition. Other than death or personal injury arising from the acts or omissions of the Promoter or its employees, the Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of the winner’s enjoyment of the prize.

21. Privacy Notice. The information that you provide will only be used for purposes of this competition, including running the competition, deciding the winner and promoting entries. Uses of personal data received by the Promoter from the entrants in the course of the competition are governed by this Privacy Notice and the Terms and Conditions herein.

22. The Promoter reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if, in its sole discretion, the competition is not capable of being conducted as specified. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.
